ITEM DESCRIPTION

This is a used vintage Cherry G55 Hand Riveter in excellent overall condition.
The Cherry G55 Hand Riveter is a heavy-duty, well-balanced tool designed to install large blind rivets where pneumatic, hydraulic, or electrical power is not available. It is operated with both hands and works on a simple trouble-free ratchet principal.
The G55 Riveter is 26 1/4 inches long without a pulling head, weighs about 5 pounds, and has a 2 1/2 inch stroke. It will install practically all sizes and styles of blind rivets, including CherryLocks.
This G55 tool is compatible with a large variety of pulling heads, including the Cherry H640B series for Cherrylock rivets. It will also fit many threaded/screw-on pulling heads if you have the appropriate adapter.
This listing includes four (4) vintage Cherry pulling heads. Two of the heads have model numbers H405-1B and H406-1B. the other two have no designation but have “5/32” and 9/32” stamped on them. These vintage pulling heads look like they’re designed to pull the old style Cherry and Huck rivets that have a knob on the front of the mandrel/stem

This
Cherry G55 Hand Riveter and the pulling heads
appear to be in excellent, very clean overall physical condition. They have some cosmetic nicks, scuffs, scratches, and general wear from normal use. I’m not familiar with this tool and I did not test it on any fasteners. When the handle is cycled, the pulling shaft moves smoothly back and forth. However, there is no real ratcheting action as described in the instructions. Maybe it ratchets when the tool is under load when being pushed against a fastener. Because I'm not sure if it's working correctly, I'm listing this tool as "For Parts or Not Working." But it's a simple tool and it's probably not hard to make it fully functional.
